Introduction

Connect, explore, and manage AI skills from the Milkey registry with ease.

What is Milkey?

Milkey is a hosted skills platform that allows you to discover, manage, and install reusable prompt templates or "skills" for your AI coding assistants. Whether you are using Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or another supported AI assistant, Milkey gives you the power to standardize and extend their capabilities globally.

What are skills?
Skills are simple configurations and system instructions that provide specific domain knowledge to an AI assistant (like React best practices, complex data transformations, or specific architectural guidelines).

Why use Milkey?

Managing individual prompts for every project and team member can quickly become unmanageable. Milkey solves this by acting as a central hub.

  • Standardize workflows: Ensure consistent code reviews, architectural standards, and team practices by sharing context.
  • Share expertise: Package domain knowledge once (e.g., "How we handle caching" or "Our UI guidelines") and share it securely.
  • Easy integration: Connect Milkey strictly via a unified API key across all platforms, taking the complexity out of prompt management.

How It Works

Using Milkey is broken down into three straightforward steps:

  • Browse & Enable: Log in to your Milkey dashboard and enable the skills you want your AI assistant to learn.
  • Generate an API Key: Securely authenticate your AI clients through automatically provisioned API keys.
  • Connect your Assistant: Point your existing MCP or client to the Milkey API endpoints to seamlessly retrieve and apply your enabled context.
